The Charles Bargue Drawing Course

This is the curriculum I follow for learning to draw with Graphite and Charcoal. It is published under a Creative Commons license, for educational purposes, and I have no legal claim to any of its copyrighted materials.

The course comprises a series of 196 illustrated plates accompanied by instructions that enable detailed reproductions to be rendered.

Household names such as Pablo Picasso, and Vincent Van Gogh trained themselves using this course content.

The Fountainhead Gipsoteca is a sculpture studio that offers exquisite casts of classical masterpieces from which to render detailed reproductions in three dimensions. The work they do is genuinely fantastic, and I need to clarify that I have no legal claim rights to any of their copyrighted imagery. Once I have enough interest in this studio art practice, students can progress from copying illustrated plates to drawing from life.
